This was my midterm for a class called "Artists Making Books," which was a literature class that honed in on underrepresented voices through history. Here, I compared the way two authors wrote about systematic oppression using very different methods. My professor went on to use this exact comparison in her class the next semester!

Rufus' Mother
The second part of a short story (I can't seem to find the first!) written from the perspective of a worm that I wrote for my first fiction workshop. It picks up after a mother and son have gotten into a fight which ended with the son taking off - right before a storm.
